A new blog, 38 years in the making

by admin on June 10, 2009

Hi, I’m Alan Whitton, thanks for visiting.

This first post will be much like what you’ll (at some point) find on the About page. So, it’s a little spiel about me.

I’m a Hypnotist & NLP Coach, living in Woodford Green, Essex. I’m interested in Hypnosis, NLP and other *effective* brief therapies – obviously. I’m also a long time Martial Artist. Like a lot of people, I’ve flirted with a couple of styles, but more than anything I’ve done Muay Thai, and more recently have taken up studying Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

I’ve recently got acquainted with Kettlebells, essentially cannonballs with handles. These are old timey Russian weights that have a live of their own. For more info, read Pavel Tsatsouline’s “Enter the Kettlebell” and go to the hangout of all the Gireviks (Kettlebell swingers) http://dragondoor.com – here you can buy the book as well as find out more – there’s a treasury of articles on allmanner of nutrition and strength training.

OK, so that’s my latest obsession out of the way then.

With regards to my work, it tickles me that people still say “About Hypnosis, does it really work?”. Well, I guess the best qualified to answer that question is one of the hundreds of thousands of people that have benefitted by Hypnosis or Hypnotherapy to help them have Pain Free Childbirth, Surgery, back conditions, and a myriad of (what society terms as) psychological conditions.

I’m going to use this site as a place to wibble about whatever I fancy, anything from Neurology Articles to Comic Books.

My other sites, either in the making or made are as follows:

West Essex Hypnotherapy – my main site

NLPCoach.Pro – NLP Coaching site

Free Hypnosis 4 Me – Free Hypnosis site

Jedi Mind Tricks – Martial Arts Mind Coaching site & Blog

There might be more or less as time goes by, depending on what works!

Right, time for me to go training for now.

See you in the funny pages!

Alan

I like that you separate fate from destiny. There is something to be said for trying to account for the idea that we can sometimes fail to fulfill our destiny.

Well done for getting this up and running Al. You have much to share with the world. You are a go getter. Love the pic you have at the beginning of your blog
