What’s the process Like?
Naturally, Coaching and Therapy sessions will be radically different in their approach, although they are both, by nature, solution focused and outcome driven.
The experience of working with several hundred clients over more than a decade will ensure that the right approach is used and tailored to you, and each individual client.
Each session will follow a plan, but not a blueprint, as things often crop up that require exploration and attention.
More focus is placed on process than content [so sessions will usually explore the structure, more than the story], giving greater insight how to progress, faster. Take your next step by getting in touch.
1. We hold an initial consultation [FREE]
Don’t worry, this is just a short, casual conversation to see if there’s a good fit, and to discover what your desired outcomes are. This can be done on the phone or in person.
2. If there good fit between us we schedule our first session
Once we’ve scheduled our first session [2 hours usually] we’ll meet at the appointed time in my home based office.
If sessions are not taking place on an in-person basis they will be carried out over Skype video, WhatsApp video or phone call.
3. A high quality audio recording is made and sent to you.
Once recorded, the raw audio will be processed and turned into an MP3. This is then uploaded to Google Drive’s 128 bit AES Encrypted servers, and the client sent a secure download link. Once downloaded, all files are deleted locally and from the server.
4. During the session we'll agree on appropriate tasks.
There is almost certainly going to be tasks set. These may consist of a Mindfulness practice, a Mental rehearsal drill, practicing new or different self-talk, as well as specific actions/behaviours that will need to carried out by an agreed deadline.
5. Next session booked, Support begins with follow-on call
Although the follow-on call is the first scheduled support point, clients are actively encouraged to use the open support channel whenever required – even if this is before the appointed call date. /if there’s anything you need clarity or feedback on, you will get it.
